Mosquito Pass

Located northeast of Leadville, Colorado, Mosquito Pass is the high altitude researchers dream.  With one of the highest, road accessible peaks in Colorado, Mosquito is 100% solar powered with a propane generator for back-up power.  Located far enough away from most large population centers, this is a perfect site for long-term high altitude scientific research with possible high speed data connections through Badger Mountain if necessary.  The building is a double walled permanent structure and can with stand the freezing winters that high altitude peaks face.  Road access is available only during the summer months and four wheel drive is required.
